Every, every game that was going out on the market in Asia was getting pirated. Uh, and, so, people were used to, to getting their games for free. So, Nexon started putting things inside the games, uh, that were, you know, free games that, um, had virtual goods in them that you could buy, uh, in very small transactions. So, so, maybe you would buy 20, uh, something for 25 cents, uh, just to, to get a leg up on the competition. Uh, and that turned into, uh, a huge, uh, uh, business model for Nexon, which, um, now has like a market value of three and a half billion dollars. Uh, and they’re one of the world’s largest, uh, game companies now. Uh, and, uh, it spread from Asia. It, uh, it reached, uh, you know, um, Apple, uh, with the iPhone in 2009. Uh, virtual goods are now, uh, accounting for something like 95% of all the revenue that’s generated in games. Advertising is, is the rest. Uh, and, yeah, paid apps are, are really not on the map anymore.
